Cebu Pacific A319 at Tagbilaran Airport on Bohol Island, PhilippinesBy Air:
Bohol has it's own airport in the capital city of Tagbilaran and there are now six flights daily to and from Manila. Two by by Cebu Pacific Air, three by Philippine Airlines and one by Zest Air ( by Feb. 2010)
There are no flights from Tagbilaran to other destinations in the Philippines by now.

By Ship:

  • Tagbilaran: Comfortable Fast Ferries, such as Ocean Jet, Super Cat or Weesam Express take you in about one an a half hour to and from Cebu several times a day. Slower but bigger Ships taking 4 hours for the same way and operate also during the night. A very old Ferry also operates between Tagbilaran and Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao three times a week, you don't want to take that one when there is a storm around. Travel time is about 11 hours.
  • Schedule of the Fast Ferries Tagbilaran - Cebu - Tagbilaran
  • Jagna is located on the south coast of Bohol and there is a ferry going to and from Cagayan de Oro (Mindanao) two times a week. Travel Time 6 hours. New since 2009: There is now a daily connection to Camiguin Island from Jagna.
  • Tubigon on the north coast of Bohol lies closer to Cebu than Tagbilaran and there are slow Ferries going to Cebu about every two hours.
  • Note: If your final destination on Bohol is Alona Beach or Panglao Island, choose Tagbilaran as your arrival port.

International Arrivals:

If you have to book a flight from abroad to the Philippines, you can do this either to Manila or Cebu International Airport. Most international Airlines have flights to Manila, Cebu is served by by: Cathay Pacific (via Hongkong), Qatar Airways(via Doha), Singapore Airlines (Silk Air) (via Singapore) and Malaysian Airlines via Kuala Lumpur. Cebu Pacific also operates flights between Cebu and Singapore or Hongkong if you need a connection flight.
