Panglao Island is a small island, just out off Tagbilaran City on Bohol. It is connected by two bridges to Bohol. Actually, when people tell you that they spent their holiday on Bohol, they have probably been on Panglao Island.
There are a number of tourist beaches and resorts around the island, most of them at famous Alona Beach at the south end of the island.
Panglao is a relatively flat island, without any big mountains. From Tagbilaran to Alona Beach, taxies or jeepneys have to drive about 20 km, mostly on concrete roads.

Other attractions on Panglao Island beside Alona Beach are the many dive sites around the island and the Hinagdanan Cave which is worth a visit.
